I’m new to Misusu Patterns, where should I start?
Start with our free Rowan Tee pattern! The pattern comes with a full size range from size 62 - 164, a clear step-by-step illustrated tutorial and an A4 pattern in layers. It’s great for beginners and will give you a sense of what to expect from a Misusu Pattern! Also, check our other free patterns & tutorials.

How do digital patterns work?
All Misusu digital patterns are pdf files delivered to your email instantly, ready for you to print at home on A4 or US letter paper. Once you complete your payment of a digital pattern, a download link will automatically be emailed to the email address you provided at checkout. You can also access your download by clicking the link in the website order summary.

How does downloading the pattern work?
When you click the link, the pattern will automatically download to your computer’s downloads folder. Check in there, you should see your pattern. If you don’t see it, make sure your web browser is up to date and you don’t have any firewalls preventing downloads from occurring. Please download and store your patterns after your purchase. You can download and store your patterns up to 5 times so be sure to save and backup your files!
If you downloaded the files on an iPad or iPhone you can save the files by clicking the preview and choosing ‘open in iBooks’. It will be stored there. You can download iBooks for free in the app store. 

 

Help, I can’t find the email with my pattern!
There's a chance your order email may end up in your email's junk folder or filtered out as spam, so if you can't find your order please check there. Hotmail is especially bad and often sends the link to spam. If you'd like to remedy this for future purchases, please add orders@misusu.co to your list of approved email addresses. Still can’t find your pattern? Contact us by replying to your order email.

Help, I can’t get into my account!
An account isn't automatically set up after a purchase - so if you're having trouble getting into your account, in most cases this means you've never set one up. You can create an account here: https://www.misusu.co/account/register. All purchased patterns associated with your email address will show up in your account. 

How does printing the pattern work?
Open the PDFs, preferably in Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download a free copy of Acrobat Reader here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/. To print the pattern at full scale, select “actual size” or “set scaling to 100%” or “turn off scaling”  in the print settings. 
Print page 1 of the pattern first and measure the test square to check it is exactly 25mm x 25mm - 1” x 1”.

Why am I being charged VAT tax on a digital download?
Starting January 1, 2015 a new European Union law has gone into effect affecting all sellers of digital files worldwide. For all EU customers, the point of sale has moved from where the seller lives to where the purchaser lives. This means we are now legally required to charge you VAT tax for the country you purchase from. There is no minimum purchase involved in these transactions, all transactions are to be taxed. Can I return my pdf pattern?
Please review the product information carefully before purchasing a pattern. Due to the instant nature of digital products, once you have downloaded or started to download a digital pattern, we cannot accept returns. If there’s a problem with the pattern, you have the right to request a replacement or update of the pattern. Please get in touch if you believe this is case! If we can’t fix it within a reasonable time, we will offer a full or part refund.

What if a pattern gets updated after I download?
If we make changes to a pattern you already downloaded, you will receive an email notifying you of the update. 

Do I need a serger?
No, you don’t need a serger. It definitely makes life easier, but if you don’t have a serger you can substitute the serged seams with a knit stitch or small zigzag stitch on your sewing machine. All our tutorials will clearly specify what stitches to use on either machines.

Can I use your images for my blog?
Yes! You can repost an image from the product pages or blog as long as it’s for non-commercial purposes, you don’t alter it, you credit www.misusu.co and link back to the original post/page. Please don’t reproduce tutorials in full and please request permission if you want to use more than one image. 

Can I sell items made with a Misusu Pattern?
You are welcome to sell garments in small quantities from these patterns; crediting Misusu Patterns in your listings would be much appreciated!
