I just love designing sweaters. That’s because I love wearing them! But when spring comes, I always find my pattern collection lacking in spring/summer appropriate patterns. Maybe it’s because summers in the Netherlands are (normally) not so warm. Or maybe it’s because as a clothing designer, you're always designing for the upcoming season. Like right now, in this blistering hot a-typical Dutch weather, I’m working on our upcoming winter patterns & dreaming of wool, cuddly fabrics and again: sweaters.
But let’s get back to summer and our newest summer appropriate addition to the Misusu family: the Piper Tank Top! At first glance, the Piper seems like just a good basic tank top pattern. A wardrobe staple pattern everyone loves in their collection. But there’s more to Piper than meets the eye…..Piper comes with so many optional design elements you can mix & match with! Next to the basic tank top version, Piper’s biggest feature is the 2 more "designed" back versions - the penguin tail back & the crossover petal back. And all the other features, well you’ve got the Piper Tank Top Testing Team to thank for that!
This testing experience went relatively smooth. There’re always things to improve on, but in Piper’s case, those improvements were pretty minor, which left room and time to think of extra's! For example, the addition of the V-neck option was initiated by Tina and lovingly picked up by the other testers. And that’s what I love about testing a pattern - it truly is a team effort! And adding something as simple as a V-neck seems so obvious right? But it wouldn’t be the first time, my blindness to such obviousness is brought to attention by my testing team! And what an amazing talented team it was - I was again so fortunate to work with such lovely talented ladies. Thank you for sharing your time, input, skills & creativity!
And it’s that creativity, that we’re going to show off during our Piper Social Tour! Starting Saturday July 7th, the Piper Testing Team will share all the amazing Piper Tank Tops they came up with. With all the options in the pattern, you can create at least 20 different Piper Tank Top's by mixing and matching the different options. So stay tuned, get inspired by all versions they came up with and show some love to these creators! And for the duration of the tour, the Piper Tank Top pattern will be on sale for €6,50. You can get your copy of the pattern here!
Do you still crave more Piper inspiration? Join us on the Piper Tank Top Social Tour!
