The classic crew for babies & Toddlers! This pattern includes an optional shoulder closure, 2 sleeve options and 2 pocket options so you can mix & match to create multiple versions of this sweatshirt. Make it sporty and practical with the kangaroo pocket or make a girly version by adding the puffed sleeves. 

Techniques involved include sewing with knits, straight & curved seams, using basting threads (only for the puff sleeves) and attaching ribbing.

Confident beginner  Skill level confident beginner
Main body and sleeves. Light to medium weight sweater knits, interlock or french terry with 25% stretch (lycra or elastane). 
0.5 meter/yard for sizes 62 - 104 | 0-3M - 3-4y
0,75 meter/yard for sizes 110 - 116 | 4-5y - 5-6y

Waistband, neckband & cuffs. Rib knit fabric or a medium weight, cotton/elastane blend jersey with 25% stretch. 
1/4 meter/yard for all sizes

Small piece of contrast fabric for chest pocket.
Fusible interfacing for knits (for closure only)

Ballpoint sewing needle
2-3 snap buttons
Sewing machine / Serger. When using a sewing machine, use a small zigzag stitch in place of the serged seam. Finish the seams with a big zigzag stitch.
